The solid wood is extracted from a tree trunk shot down to be cut to be transformed into beams, boards, chevrons and trays. It has the advantage to possess a beautiful color, a beautiful veining, to be strong with good mechanics properties for the assemblies, but the inconvenience to deform because of variations of temperatures and humidity. We select it crude, directly at our suppliers in the sawmill, then we let it acclimatize ,some time, to the environment of the workshop before it is ready to be produced and be worked. For the cabinetmaking we shall favor of advantage the geographical origin of the wood according to the use (European wood or tropical) and for leafy wood rather than coniferous wood. For example wooden European you will find type of trees as the oak, the chestnut tree, the beech, the walnut, the elm, the wild cherry, the ash tree... And wooden tropical you will find type of trees as the mahogany, the teak, the wengé, the ebony of macassar, the padouk, the amarello … We would have a preference for the choice of the massive wood as for armchairs, chairs, bases legs of furniture, drawers, top of table or still for elements sculptured by a piece of furniture.
